Eclipse 2

So I know its been a while since Ive posted anything on here, but now that I'm nearly finished with Eclipse I figured why not share whats been running through my head about it.

What i dont understand is how is someone so loved by two complete opposite people from herself. Jacob, the wolf and Edward the vampire seem just to fall in love with this damsel in distress, almost like Cinderella except modern day. Like Bella just happens to move to the rainiest town in the whole country, where two rival fantasy beings coexist with treaties and pacts. It's so funny that its like this, but thats why everyone seems to fall in love with it, because its so unrealistic.

I recently just past the part where the "alliance" is formed between the wolves and the vampires to save bella, and fight against Victoria who is seeking revenge after her lover James was killed in Twilight. DRAMA. If only a friendship would turn out of this, but no they have to hate each other forever because they both love the same girl...or will they.

The Noteboook 1

The first chapter in The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks is called Miracle. It's a prologue to set up the rest of the book, looking back at the narrators past. The 80 year old man, describes his life as a stock, fairly stable with more ups then downs, but he's never done anything to be remembered by. The only thing that he seems to be thoroughly happy with is the fact that he fell in love with someone with all of his heart. The man takes his notebook with him, to his friend also in the nursing home, and begins the day like every other, hoping for a miracle.

This first chapter is a good way to foreshadow the rest of the book. The old man that narrates the book automatically makes you fall in love with him, his genuine heart and persistence shows and demonstrates how love can last.

Eclipse 1

After reading through the first few chapters of Eclipse, I thought it'd be a good time to begin my second blog. This book has several qualities I like about it, and dislike already. I really like the plot already, the note starting off the story from Jacob shows the reader how complicated things have become, the ever so quickly approaching graduation, and the mysterious creatures killing so many innocent people in Portland. All three of these things have already started to tie together, Jacob realized that his love will never be his, and he needs to manage that or he'll loose her forever, literally. With graduation approaching for Bella, her desire to become a vampire and the deal she has made with the Cullens is coming faster and faster and finally, the mysterious creature killing people in Portland make the Cullens and the wolf pack nervous about who theyre really after.

So far while reading this I have discovered and learned a lot about some of the minor characters in the book, and their backgrounds. Rosalie, the most beautiful vampire, told Bella her story about how she was turned.Jasper also told Bella his story about being one of the most respected confederate generals and how that prestige got him turned into a vampire.

I like this book a lot, and from reading it previously I know there will be a lot of interesting things to write about.

Decisons, Decisions, Decisions

Hey everyone and anyone whose reading this,
So recently I've been struggling with picking the books I want to read for this extra credit project, however I think I now know. Considering I looked to Olivia C's blog for inspiration, and recognized that Cecilia is also reading one of the top choices of books to read, I decided to go with my gut. I have already began to read Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer for the second time, I chose this because I find myself discovering cooler and more interesting things to disscuss the second time around. And I believe I want to read The Notebook, or A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks, because those two love stories and modern novels have always been on the top of my book list. So I am excited to get started and begin to analyze part of one my favorite book series and a book I've been wanting to read for a few years now. But for now, thats all I have to discuss with you all!
